SEDAbuild School stands strong to the statement that everyone who gets involved with our courses will be getting hands-on experience to put all their new theory into practice.

We previously ran an extremely successful Green Roof Long Weekend course where participants came along to learn, not only the theory, but also the practice in creating green roofs.

To help with the training we managed to get Dusty Gedge, a recognised authority and spokesperson on green roof construction running his own consultancy with 15 years experience; a great guy to have teaching everyone involved how to make the perfect green roof. Following our ethos of ensuring people learn by doing, Dusty aided in constructing a green roof for the outdoor classroom at Miltonbank Primary School – the location of our upcoming course.

This was a fantastic course and all those who took part had a fun informative time with the skills brilliantly transferred to help LoveMilton’s Community Garden build. It is our aim with SEDAbuild School to get more people involved to learn the theory of architectural design and construction before getting everyone to take part in various ecological builds. We hope that all who have taken part would like to continue working on our courses and more people want to get involved with us in the future.

What would you like to see us do next? We’re a friendly bunch so make sure you get in touch if you want to learn more about what we’ve gotten up to in the past and how you can expand your skills and experiences with us in the future.
